I learned their value by walking without them, with just one, and then with two. Can you do that? Then, youll know for yourself. I like them when I carry a full pack to turn my arms into legs for more support. I use mine at a comfortably short height so my hands hang naturally at my sides and help me stride rhythmically. On downhills, I lean on them with the handle in my palm, giving me stability and support as I ease down rather than dropping all at once on my feet
