More about ME! I am Regina Reiter, Creator of Forgiveness Walks!

I have walked the Appalachian Trail twice since turning 53 in 2007. Along the way, I discovered that walking in Nature is my system for balancing all aspects of my life – physical, mental, spiritual. In 2008, as I reached the northern terminus of the Pacific Crest Trail, I declared that I would earn my living hiking. Transforming my belief that walking in service is not a “real job” has taken me on a journey of courage, discovery, and prosperity that calls me to share what I have learned along the way.

Working for seven summers for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy as an ambassador for Leave-No-Trace principles (a “ridgerunner”), I talked with thousands of hikers. I found out that most hikers focus only on the physical aspects of walking the trail and see their walk as an arduous battle against the antagonistic mountains that they must endure and conquer through determination, pain, mental fortitude, and hunger.

In contrast, I know that walking the trail can be a fulfilling meeting  with a supportive landscape that we can enjoy and allow to unfold with each easy step, crafting our Outer AND Inner Journeys.  I teach my practices and guide my clients through customized coaching and group programs like this one.

While you wait for our gathering to happen, come on over to my Private Facebook Group – Appalachian Trail Women: Clearing Our Path for Fulfilling Walks  to join in the conversation, ask questions, and add your own comments!
