Maildrop Project

My HeartSinging Journey has begun!

I’ve set up my email service to send you my blogposts every few days. Enjoy! Be sure to reply to your email with questions, comments, or requests for what you want to read about.  I’ll do my best to respond.

We’re sending five maildrops containing foods that I like and can’t buy. Some, like our homemade  hummus, sweet potatoes, and pineapple that really are not available in stores.

This food is not meant to be our total resupply. We will supplement this with other food from stores and restaurants. John picked places at 70-mile intervals, which is 4-5 days apart.

Other items include:
Chicken (hard to find)
Quinoa
Maple syrup
Olive oil
Dates
Dehydrated spaghetti sauce
Granola
Hemp seeds
Tea, green herbs, salt
Razor
Watercolor paper  (for my daily painting. I’ll tear it into smaller sheets)

The boxes each weighed 12-14 lbs.

We packed up the boxes using USPS Large Flat Rate boxes. On the boxes we wrote on all sides our names and ETA. We also taped a distinguishing mark -a little watercolor painting! – on each box. The Montebello P.O. enjoys our business!
