There is something different about me since taking the Landmark Advanced Course! While riding the MARTA train today I easily talked with my seatmates about what really matters to me, about touching events in my life.

I shared with one passenger that I worked from home, teaching people how to forgive. His face brightened and he asked, “How do you do that?” I shared the five phases of Radical Forgiveness. He started telling his story. We both got off the train at Five Points Station, the main hub of the MARTA system.

Usually, when I’ve been chatting with a fellow passenger, we say goodbye when exiting the train. This time, we walked together, still engaged in his story. Up the stairs to the next level. In a few minutes, I offered one of the keys points in collapsing the energy field of a victim story – being willing to be open to the possibility that we only get upset when someone resonates in us something about ourselves that we see in the other person.

I suggested that to him and he got it! “Really?”, he said, “I’ll think about that!”

And then, we parted, going different ways.

“This really does work!, I thought. Forgiveness can be a systematic, simple process. When we take the energy out of the story, we bring our creative power into the present. We feel lighter and more energetic.

I’m grateful to have this tool from Colin Tipping to share with people. As a complement, Landmark gave me the experience of just “being” with people, seeing them as spiritual beings having a human experience, sharing similar struggles and similar needs. The people on MARTA could be just the same as me! So why not say hello and start to share?

“You’ve got two minutes to share with your partner!”

“Go!”
