Forest Comfort

September 29, 2017

Walking in my childhood forest in Ohio, I feel a grounding comfort. The tree canopy embraces me. The pillared trunks emulate steadfast structure. The deep, firm soil supports me. I think ahead to my imminent relocation to the southern California desert. It’s a study in contrast!

Don’t get me wrong, I have loved living in the desert for the past three winters! The comfortable temperature range, the sun, the rainbows, the wide open sky, the surprisingly diverse vegetation and persistent flowering, the dramatic bare rock that makes geology obvious. It’s just that it’s so different from the familiar, homelike feeling of a temperate forest!

I must be sure to pay close attention to the forest for this one last week of my summer habitation!

What’s showing up in your Inner Journey this week?

I’ve been focusing on giving myself permission to paint illustrations for a story that came to me. It’s helping that I joined Laura West’s 30-Day Passion Project group for support and accountability. It’s interesting to me that it feels selfish for me to devote time to my painting! However, when I do, I feel more generous toward others, more efficient on other projects, less attracted to unhealthy food, more appreciative of others’ work, more supported by others, even more connected to and helpful to others, and just plain happy!

It’s a good reminder that it’s better for me – and others too – to just do what makes my heart sing than to ignore or deny authentic expression.

And…the paintings are actually not so bad. And it turns out that doesn’t even matter! It’s what happens inside that I notice.

What’s one thing your heart wants that you’ve been putting off? Today, dedicate time in your day, even just five minutes, to do something that feeds that expression!

Thanks! I believe it’s better for everyone when you do!

P.S. My Inner Journey includes sharing what’s going on for me! Right now, that includes encountering digital challenges! I’m trying to share a photo of my latest painting and it won’t work!  Please be so kind as to click the link to see the photo!  Thanks!

Handy Tools

September 20, 2017

I am grateful every day for having the tools of Radical Forgiveness! They come in handy quite often on my journey.

Let me tell you about today’s use. It’s really “just a little thing”, but shows how my new Radical Forgiveness lifestyle helps me have what’s promised in the promotions for Radical Forgiveness – more energy, better relationships, and freedom from my past.

I wrote a comment on another hiker’s post, referring to my practice of looking for the Inner Journey view of things that happen, rather than focusing on the circumstances, the venue, and the perpetrator as something to try to avoid in the future. To my surprise, an icon appeared signalling that the comment had failed to post! That’s never happened before!

So, I sent my comment to her privately. She responded – and started a conversation! To my continued surprise, she asked me about Radical Forgiveness! It’s always so unsettling for me when someone actually wants to know! You see, MY old story is that “what I do is too weird and different and nobody wants to do it”. I see that I make that true by being unprepared to talk about it easily.

I remembered to USE THE TOOLS and right then and there in a message wrote out The Four Steps to Radical Forgiveness! Here’s my work:

“Thanks to you, Mindy, for giving ME an Inner Journey moment! I want to be doing this Inner Journey coaching more and more, meeting people where they are and spontaneously doing energy-shifting work! Just now, I wanted to say, “Oh, I can’t chat right now, but I have these articles to share if you want something now…” but alas, my posts are not organized for that. In the past, I would have beat myself up about that, feeling unworthy and guilty. But, with the tools of Radical Forgiveness, I can quickly take these four steps toward peace:

1Tell the story – I couldn’t send Mindy something.

2 Notice my Judgements and love myself for having them: “I’m not good enough. I’m a hypocrite, She won’t like me”

3 Love myself how I am and be open to a new perspective: ” How great to connect with Mindy! I have something to share! Yay. I have so many posts about this! It’s ok to be where a I am now.”

4 I choose peace “Time is in our side and we ARE One. I am grateful for this moment.”

“That is me using one of the tools for Radical Forgiveness in this moment about your reflection of something for me in my Inner Journey. The Four Steps to Radical Forgiveness. Maybe this is useful, and yes, I will offer chat times – this is a week of transition.”
There you have it!

And, the results? I must have results, right?!!

Shortly after I wrote this, I got an opening in what I thought was my need to rush out to do my next project. Well, circumstances changed, and I actually had plenty of time to think about my next few days’ timing and share some chat times with her.

And….I felt peace….and connection….and ease…..and authentic……and really comfortable with how I had shared with her.

In joy,

Regina

P.S. This week, I am in Ohio visiting my mom and son AND clearing out stuff stored in its new place at my son, Simon’s house. It’s very touching visiting him because he’s using quite a few of my household items I don’t need in my nomadic life. “This is my stuff!” I keep saying.

Next week, probably between October 2 -9th bub, I’ll be visiting my grandson (and his parents) in Atlanta. Let me know if you want to play Satori, walk, or talk about hiking!

And…I got my comments fixed by someone I hired to maintain my website! Neil Matthews at WPDude.com

So, please comment!

Journey in Creativity

September 14, 2017

What did I choose for my 30-Day Passion Project? Choosing was definitely a challenge for me! In fact, I think it made me sick! Sunday, I felt awful, sleepy and headachey. I stayed at base camp while John went off to the trail for his last day on the ridgerunner job.

On Monday, I went to the launch call for the Passion Project program ready to announce that my project would be a Rainbow Energy Project, spending time each day doing something on each of the ten ideas I had on my plate.

During the call, Laura said something that made me choose, though! “A Passion Project is often something we need to give ourselves permission to do.”

That’s it! The one project on my list I would not do anyway was create How to Touch the Cacti, a storybook I have in mind!

So, that’s what I picked!

Every day this month, I’m giving myself permission to play with drawings, ideas, and sharing breathing life into a nature story I wrote in the desert!

I even formed a closed Facebook group to share and collaborate with others about it. If YOU want to join me, reply to this email and I’ll welcome you in!

It’s my journey in creativity!

In joy,

Regina

Passion Project Exploration

September 9, 2017

I’m joining Laura West of The Institute for Joyful Business for a 30-Day Passion Project!

Today, I got the gift of a creative retreat day from Irma. I came home a couple of days early from my family visit in Charleston, SC. I’m exploring my ideas for passion projects. Inspired by Laura’s worksheets and using my own regular practice of painting through a chakra balancing meditation as a base for brainstorming, I’ve taken two steps forward: 1) Noted desires/growth in each chakra area with project ideas and 2)Elaborated on the outcomes, benefits, challenges, and areas of transformation I see for each project. Here are the worksheets:

Next step is to evaluate each project and energetically choose ONE! I’ll keep you posted! The project launch is Monday, September 11. Hmm. Interesting date for starting something.

We Are One

September 7, 2017

Fires, hurricanes, floods, full moon, sunshine, health challenges, and adventures. Today, I acknowledge that at any moment we can be experiencing any number of physical and emotional events! I offer The Radical Forgiveness Invocation to awaken our sense of unity as spiritual beings having a human experience.

The Radical Forgiveness Invocation, by Crow Dancing

May we all stand firm

In the knowledge and comfort

That all things are now, have always been, and forever will be in Divine order.

May we surrender to this truth whether we understand it or not.

May we also ask for support in consciousness in feeling our connection with the Divine part of us, with everyone, and with everything so we can truly say and feel

We are One.

Blessings to all in this dramatic time!

Love,

Regina
